Rulebook

These rules keep roleplay fair and believable for everyone. Applicants are tested on them, and staff enforce them consistently.

Updated 20 October 202666 rulesApplies in-city, Discord & forum

The golden rules

  1. 01Stay in character and value your life.
  2. 02Have a proper in-character reason for everything you do.
  3. 03Keep it in-game, and respect both the characters and the real people behind them.
  4. 04When in doubt, roleplay it out and report it afterward.

Severity classes

Class A

Minor +10 pts

Verbal or formal warning, then admin jail, then a ban of up to 1 day

Class B

Moderate +10 pts

3-day ban. Admin jail for first or minor cases

Class C

Severe +15 / +25 pts

7-day ban. 14 days for serious cases

Class D

Critical +30 pts

Indefinite or permanent ban or suspension

Penalties are starting points, not fixed sentences. Staff judge every case on what happened, including intent and context. Warning points expire after 60 days, repeat offenses climb the progressive ladder, and severe breaks can skip it. Disagree with a decision? Open a ticket on Discord after the scene, never during it.

Player rules

Before you join

What it takes to join the community, before any gameplay.

0.1

18 or older

Ciantic is an 18+ community. You must be at least 18 to join. There are no exceptions.

Class A
0.2

Working microphone

Roleplay here runs on voice. A mic that cuts out, crackles or sits at whisper volume breaks the scene for everyone, so you need a clear, working mic.

Class A
0.3

Realistic character name

Your character is a real person living in the city. See rule 5.1 for what counts as a valid name.

Class A
0.4

No AFK camping

Don't park your character in the world and walk away for long stretches. It takes up a slot and leaves your character standing like a prop. If you need to step away, log off. Staff decide what counts as too long.

Penalty Warning, then escalation through the progressive ladder.

Class A

Player rules

Accounts & donations

You answer for everything that happens on your account.

1

Account ownership and responsibility

Make sure nobody uses your account, IP address, Social Club or hardware to break the rules. If several people share a network or PC, such as family or friends, and one of them breaks the rules, staff can ban the whole network and hardware until the banned player wins an appeal.

  • You can't trade, sell or gift a Ciantic account.
  • You can't share your account with anyone, for any reason.
  • You are responsible for everything that happens on your account.
  • If staff linked your accounts by hand and you can prove you are different people, they can lift the ban. Automatic bans don't qualify.

Penalty 3-day ban. Can go up to a permanent ban depending on context and severity.

Class B
2

Donations and refunds

  • Ciantic Roleplay does not refund donations.
  • You can't refund or transfer items bought with credits unless the script itself allows it.
  • You have 24 hours to refund a vehicle for credits through the F6 menu in-game.
  • Don't charge back a donation.

Penalty A chargeback means a permanent ban and removal of every asset linked to the donation.

Class D

Player rules

Combat & fear

Fights need a reason, and your character wants to stay alive.

3

Deathmatching (DM)

Deathmatching means attacking a player without a proper in-character motive or escalation first. The rule keeps fights fair and sensible.

  • Valid reasons to fight back include hostility, threats, verbal abuse, harassment, insults, physical aggression, ignored demands, calling for backup, and protecting your life, your property or your allies.
  • Match your response to the escalation.
  • Don't try to hit a pedestrian with a vehicle more than once, or at all without a valid motive.
  • Don't use vehicles as weapons in an active shootout unless you can't avoid it.
  • If staff ask, explain why you attacked and show proof of the escalation.
  • During an active faction war you can engage confirmed participants.

Penalty 7-day ban, or 14 days for serious cases, up to an indefinite ban. Minor first offenses may get admin jail instead.

Class C
4

Fear roleplay (FRP)

  • Put your character's life first and play as if you only have one.
  • Show real fear and comply when someone points a weapon at you.
  • Resist only if you have a realistic way to fight back or escape.
  • When you're outnumbered, for example 3 against 1, show fear and follow demands.
  • Being in a running vehicle or holding a weapon lets you react defensively.

Penalty Formal warning on the first offense (see the progressive ladder), then admin jail, up to an indefinite ban. Staff punish it as non-roleplay.

Class A

Player rules

Characters & property

Names, scams, and moving money and items around.

5.1

Character names

  • Use a realistic name that doesn't resemble a real or famous person.
  • No troll names, and no random characters added to an existing name.

Penalty Verbal warning, up to an indefinite ban. You get a free name change.

Class A
5.2

Scamming and deception

  • Your character can scam other characters. Scamming a real person out of character is not allowed.

Penalty 3-day ban, up to an indefinite ban and removal of the assets involved.

Class B
5.3

Transferring assets between your own characters

  • Not allowed without an approved transfer request.

Penalty 3-day ban, up to an indefinite ban and removal of account assets.

Class B
5.4

Transferring assets to other players

  • You need a proper in-character motive.
  • Don't give your assets away when you leave the community.

Penalty 3-day ban, up to an indefinite ban and removal of account assets.

Class B
5.5

Real-world trading

  • Don't trade game assets for real-world money or items.

Penalty Indefinite ban. If an appeal succeeds, staff wipe every asset on the account.

Class D

Player rules

Server operations & reporting

Protect the community and report serious breaks.

6.1

Disrupting server operations

  • Be positive and respectful.
  • Out-of-character intimidation, doxxing, harassment, cyber threats, cheat distribution and other severe rule breaks are not allowed.

Penalty 7-day ban, or 14 days for serious cases, up to a permanent ban.

Class C
6.2

Failure to report rule breaks

  • You must report severe rule breaks. These include cheating, ban evasion, mass metagaming, harassment and cyber threats.

How to report a player

  • Don't break the scene to report. Play the moment out, then report it afterward.
  • Open a ticket in the Ciantic Discord.
  • Include the player's ID, a short description of what happened, and any clips or screenshots.
  • Specific proof is much easier for staff to act on than a vague report.
  • Staff watch for rule breaks and act on their own, so "no one reported me" is never a defense.

Example report: "ID 47 DM'd me at the city center with no interaction or escalation first. Clip attached."

Penalty 3-day ban, up to a permanent ban.

Class B
6.3

Ban evasion

  • Don't get around a ban from any community space.

Penalty Indefinite or permanent ban.

Class D
6.4

Server advertising

  • Don't advertise other roleplay communities.

Penalty Indefinite or permanent ban.

Class D

Player rules

In character & out of character

Your character can be a villain. You can't be cruel to a real person.

7.1

Offensive language

  • Verbal abuse between characters is allowed. Offensive language out of character is not.
  • "It's my character" is never a defense. Slurs, sexual harassment, targeted abuse, or anything that moves from character conflict to hurting the real player is harassment. Staff treat it as a serious offense however it was framed in character.

Penalty 7-day ban, or 14 days for serious cases, up to a permanent ban.

Class C
7.2

Offensive roleplay (ORP)

  • Allowed only with consent given through out-of-character channels.
  • Rape, sexual assault and pedophilia are banned outright.

Penalty Indefinite or permanent ban for non-consensual or banned content. Staff may treat lesser consent breaches as Class C.

Class D
7.3

Erotic roleplay (ERP)

  • Allowed only with consent given through out-of-character channels.
  • Never in public locations or on live streams.

Penalty 7-day ban, up to a permanent ban.

Class C
7.4

Language

  • Speak Sinhala in the city.
  • Foreign words and slang are fine when they define your character.

Penalty Warning, up to an indefinite ban.

Class A
7.5

Using out-of-character footage in character

  • You can use footage in character only if your character used /record or roleplayed a camera.

Penalty Warning, up to an indefinite ban.

Class A
7.6

Respecting staff rulings

  • Respect staff decisions. You can submit an appeal afterward.

Penalty 3-day ban, up to an indefinite ban.

Class B

Player rules

Roleplay standards

Keep information, actions and deaths believable.

8

Metagaming (MG)

  • Don't pass in-character information through out-of-character channels.
  • Don't mix in-character and out-of-character knowledge.

Examples

  • Calling a player by the ID above their head.
  • Talking about in-character events on Discord.
  • Using what one of your other characters knows.

Penalty Warning or admin jail on the first offense, up to an indefinite ban.

Class B
9

Ruleplaying

  • Ruleplaying means bending a rule to use it for something it wasn't meant for.

Examples

  • Driving slowly during a chase so nobody can attack you.
  • Walking into a hostile situation to bait the other side into deathmatching you.
  • Taunting enemies in public and showing no fear.

Penalty Admin jail, up to an indefinite ban.

Class A
10

Non-roleplay (Non-RP)

  • Unrealistic actions or poor roleplay.

Disconnecting or crashing during active RP (combat logging, Class B)

  • Contact the players involved, or staff, if you drop out of a scene.
  • Don't start a scenario if you don't have time to finish it.

Penalty Non-RP gets admin jail (Class A). Combat logging gets a 3-day ban (Class B). Both go up to an indefinite ban.

Class A
11

Powergaming (PG)

  • Unrealistic actions, false /do statements, or not giving other players a chance to respond.

Examples

  • Roleplaying superhuman strength.
  • Typing several /me actions in a row so nobody can respond.

Once you're down, you're down

  • You have no inventory access while downed. You can't drop, use or transfer items.
  • Don't call out locations, organize or pass on information while downed.
  • If EMS or anyone else revives you, you can't rejoin the fight that took you down. Scenes around you carry on, but your part in that fight is over.

Don't min-max the city

  • Don't chase the most efficient money or XP loop, hop between activities for the best payout, or use a mechanic to skip the roleplay around it.
  • Do each activity for a reason and with the people around you. The money should come from the roleplay, not replace it.

Penalty Warning or admin jail, up to an indefinite ban.

Class A
12

New life rule (NLR)

  • After you die, you forget everything that led to your death.
  • Don't go back to the area where you died for 30 real minutes.

Penalty Admin jail, up to an indefinite ban.

Class A

Player rules

Zones, theft & kidnapping

Where crime can't happen, and how it can happen everywhere else.

13

No crime zones (NCZ)

  • No crime is allowed in public high-security areas: the medical department, the police department and the sheriff department.

Green zone conduct

  • Don't run into a green zone to dodge an active situation or the consequences of something you did outside it. The consequences follow you in.
  • Don't camp a green zone or start a fight inside one, unless it continues roleplay that is happening right now. A grudge from earlier in the day doesn't count.

Penalty Admin jail, up to an indefinite ban.

Class A
14.1

Player theft

  • Robberies need to be realistic and have an in-character motive.
  • Don't steal from players tagged NEW PLAYER unless they are involved in crime.
  • Player theft is allowed only between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM in-game time.

Penalty Admin jail, up to an indefinite ban.

Class A
14.2

Kidnapping and hostage RP

  • Allowed only after reasonable escalation.
  • Random kidnappings are not allowed.

Penalty 3-day ban, up to an indefinite ban.

Class B

Player rules

Hacking & exploits

Play the game as it was built.

15.1

Hacking and cheating

  • No mods, trainers or software that give you an unfair advantage.

Penalty Immediate permanent ban. Mod-menu bans are final and you can't appeal them.

Class D
15.2

Modifying game files

  • Don't modify game files to gain an unfair advantage.

Penalty 7-day ban, or 14 days for serious cases, up to an indefinite or permanent ban.

Class C
15.3

Exploiting

  • Don't abuse server bugs or mechanics that work in ways they weren't meant to.

Penalty 7-day ban, up to a permanent ban. Staff remove the assets gained.

Class C
15.4

Macroing

  • Don't automate actions to skip timers or gain an advantage.
  • Text macros for roleplay are allowed.

Penalty 7-day ban, up to a permanent ban. Staff remove the assets gained.

Class C

Player rules

Streaming & heists

Protect real channels, and leave other crews' jobs alone.

16

Streaming and licensed music (DMCA)

Copyrighted music played over an in-game radio, on stream or through your mic can get you, or anyone streaming the scene, a DMCA strike or a channel suspension. That lands on real people, not characters.

  • Play only DMCA-safe music: in-game station music, royalty-free tracks, or music you hold the rights to.
  • If you're not sure a song is safe, don't play it.

Penalty 3-day ban, raised for repeat offenses and the harm caused.

Class B
17

Heist and crew conduct

Once a heist or robbery starts, it belongs to the crew running it. The robbery guidelines below have the full detail.

  • Don't resupply once police reach the scene.
  • Don't interfere with or crash another crew's active heist. Let it play out and pick another time and place for yours.

Penalty 3-day ban, up to an indefinite ban.

Class B

Player rules

Character limits

Some character types need staff approval first, and some outcomes are permanent.

18.1

Permanent death

If your character dies, or doctors pronounce them dead, they are gone for good. No resurrections, revivals or voodoo rituals, and no bringing them back as the same person under a new name.

  • Delete the character. Logging back in on them counts as bringing them back.

Penalty 3-day ban and removal of the character, up to an indefinite ban.

Class B
18.2

No underage characters

Every character must be 18 or older. There are no exceptions and no "young-looking adult" workarounds.

Penalty 3-day ban, up to a permanent ban.

Class B
18.3

No suicidal roleplay

Suicide and suicidal roleplay are not allowed in character under any circumstances.

If you are going through something real, please reach out to someone you trust or to a professional. That matters more than anything in the city.

Penalty 3-day ban, raised depending on severity.

Class B
18.4

Supernatural characters

No vampires, ghosts, aliens, gods, magical beings, talking animals, witches, warlocks or anything similar unless staff approve it first.

  • A human character who only believes they are one of these is fine.

Penalty Warning, up to an indefinite ban. You may have to change the character.

Class A
18.5

Serial killer characters

A serial killer character is a serious commitment, not permission to kill people. Get staff approval before you play one.

  • You need a real story with a motive, a method and a planned ending, including what happens if your character gets caught.
  • If they are caught and convicted, there is no parole.
  • Staff will shut down a thin "I'm a killer" character with no story.

Penalty 3-day ban, up to an indefinite ban. Staff may remove the character.

Class B
18.6

Keep your characters separate

Each of your characters lives their own life. On top of the asset rules in section 5, don't pull one character into another's storyline, group or friends, and don't use what one knows to help another.

  • Don't share storylines, groups or knowledge between your own characters.
  • Give each character their own friends, story and problems.

Penalty 3-day ban, up to an indefinite ban and removal of account assets.

Class B
18.7

This is our reality

The city is its own world. Leave real-world news, politics, current events and off-screen drama outside it. Your character lives here.

Factions

Faction expectations

What Faction Services expects from new and existing factions.

F1

Choose your faction type

Decide what kind of faction you want, and what roleplay you want to get and offer, before you create it. Factions are either legal or criminal. If you reach official status, the type sets your access to roleplay and scripts and the standard Faction Services holds you to.

  • You can't switch between legal and criminal without the roleplay to back it up, and you must reapply for official status if you do.
  • Official factions are held to a higher standard. Staff review them every two months and can remove official status and its privileges.

Legal factions

  • Vehicle clubs, businesses and corporations, hobby groups, unions, some cults, and similar groups.
  • Official legal factions can't import weapons and must keep their roleplay mostly legal.

Criminal factions

  • Street gangs, cartels, crime syndicates, crime families, some motorcycle clubs, and similar groups.
  • Official criminal factions get weapon imports, an HQ, turfs, a gang menu with ranks, rank powers and a treasury, and occasional special scenarios that unlock otherwise unobtainable items.
F2

Faction lore

Your lore sets you apart from other groups and shapes what your faction becomes. It must be realistic and logical. A group of superheroes with superpowers, for example, doesn't fit the world.

  • Who founded the faction, where, and why?
  • What is its history, including its wins, failures and tragedies?
  • How has it operated over time?
  • What culture, beliefs and shared history hold the members together?

Accuracy

  • Portray the culture you are drawing on authentically, even if it's a stereotype. Nobody expects you to be an expert.
  • You can expand the lore as you and your members learn more.
  • A completely new concept may take longer for others to understand. That's fine.
F3

Presentation and identity

Present your faction so it is believable and immersive. Choices about your look, location, turf and vehicles must fit the faction, not personal gain or out-of-character reasons.

  • What does your faction look like, and what values, culture and ethnic group does it represent?
  • Where did it come from, where can people find it, and where does it spend its time?
  • What do members drive and wear?

Identity

  • Identity is the principles, culture, member traits and beliefs at the core of the faction.
  • Test it: would people still recognize your members without their outfits and cars, by how they act and speak? If not, your faction may have little identity beyond its colors.
  • Decide how members behave and how the faction treats other factions, authorities and civilians. Leaders keep members in line with that image. A motorcycle club member who acts like a street gang member doesn't fit.
F4

Rank structure

Your hierarchy drives a lot of internal roleplay and shapes how you deal with other factions. It could be a share-based board, a strict militia, or a looser brotherhood like a motorcycle club.

  • Rank decides what roleplay each member takes part in. A mafia's made men manage operations and make decisions while lower members handle street crime. In a motorcycle club, rank may decide who handles diplomacy or the money.
  • Rank shapes how members treat each other and how rivals see them. A low-ranking member disrespecting a leader shouldn't go unanswered, and rival factions would value the leader as a target. A bad leader may find their own members trying to replace them.
  • Rank ties into identity and appearance. A cult might treat its leader as a god. Members shouldn't look higher-status than their leadership.
F5

Vehicles

Pick vehicles that fit your faction's story, not just the fastest ones. A street gang might use SUVs and lowriders, a biker gang chopper-style bikes, a racing faction sports cars, and a mob professional-looking cars.

  • Match vehicles to your wealth. A whole street gang in supercars doesn't make sense, and neither does a wealthy faction in RVs.
  • Decide whether leadership drives something different from lower ranks.
  • Decide whether you use a shared color. Professional groups avoid attention, so expect varied or muted colors like black and gray.

Example: African American street gang

  • Bati, Lectro, Buccaneer, Faction, Moonbeam, Voodoo, Granger, Dubsta, Chino

Example: mob or mafia

  • Windsor, Hakuchou, Double, Ellie, Baller, Toros, Cog55, Superd, Alpha, Paragon
F6

Territories

Hold territory that fits your lore. Faction Services expects to see your members in your claimed area, scripted turf or not, and won't support a claim that clashes with your identity, such as a motorcycle club claiming Grove or a street gang claiming Vinewood Hills.

  • Hoods and ghetto areas suit Hispanic and African American street gangs.
  • Industrial districts suit criminal organizations, industrial groups and businesses.
  • Upper-class areas suit crime syndicates, cults, businesses and the mob.
  • The Asian district suits Asian gangs, syndicates and businesses.
  • Middle-class areas suit organized gangs, the mob and businesses.
  • Lower-class areas suit cults, motorcycle clubs and rural groups.
  • Civilian and government districts suit corporations, the government, cults and citizens.
  • Some areas, especially industrial ones, fit several kinds of faction. Pick the one closest to your character. A cult has no reason to sit by the docks.

Limits on claims

  • No faction controls every territory or all of San Andreas. The state has two jurisdictions and is portrayed as much larger than the map. A faction based in Grove has no influence in Sandy Shores.
  • Scripted turfs are a game mechanic. Mentioning "influence points", "decay" or "shipment power" in character is metagaming.
  • Attack another faction's territory only with a real in-character motive. Draining their influence through the mechanic alone is gaming the system, and high influence alone doesn't make an area yours.
F7

Clothing

Clothing shows your faction's identity and each member's standing. A street gang cares more about colors, while a mafia cares more about presentation. Made men wear suits and lower ranks dress casually or in streetwear. Motorcycle club members often wear the same kutte whatever their rank, while the head of a crime syndicate dresses to stand out.

  • No faction owns a color. Enforcing your color outside your own territory is poor roleplay.
  • Make sure people can recognize your members by more than clothing, since other factions may impersonate you. If you can't, your faction may be too big or too loose.

Example: Hispanic street gang

  • Bandanas, baggy jeans or pants and flannel shirts, with colors flashed often, especially on home turf. The colors show up on vehicles too.

Example: mob or mafia

  • Clothing signals status, not a color. Discretion matters more than street presence.
F8

Limitations

Set limits that fit your story. Limits make factions depend on each other and stop one faction from pushing out the rest. Roleplay comes first, even when it means less profit, influence or turf.

  • Limit the vehicles and weapons you use, what you buy on the black market, the turf you claim and what you produce.
  • Focus on products that fit your lore, such as meth for a motorcycle club or marijuana for a cartel, or on specific weapons rather than all of them.
  • Let go of turf, or don't expand, when it would break your identity.
  • Don't play to win. A Hakuchou Drag or a supercar with no place in your lore will draw action from Faction Services.
F9

Leaders and members

Leaders and members represent the server in-game, on Discord, on the forum and on related websites, including faction Discords. Be respectful, friendly and proactive to avoid drama, and report problems through the proper channels. Members are responsible for making sure their conduct doesn't reflect badly on themselves, their faction or the server.

Faction Services won't accept leaders who

  • Stir up conflict inside their faction.
  • Ignore conflict their faction causes.
  • Use their position to make other players' time worse.
  • Use their position to target other players.

Behavior that reflects badly on the server

  • Toxic disagreements.
  • Poor roleplay standards.
  • Encouraging or approving rule breaks.
  • Supporting people banned from the community.

Penalty Rejected applications or removal of official status.

Factions

Illegal faction guidelines

Required rules for criminal factions, gang fights and backup.

G1

General guidelines

  • Non-government factions can have up to 15 members.
  • An official legal faction can't become criminal without approval from Faction Management.
  • Roleplay within your faction lore.
  • Tell the server admins whenever the gang recruits someone.
  • New recruits must spend at least 15 days with the gang before taking part in gang wars. Other gang situations are exempt.
  • Don't start fights with players or gangs without a valid in-character reason or earlier interaction.
  • Play out drug deals, robberies and turf wars as real roleplay, not just game mechanics.
  • Keep in-character actions from crossing into out-of-character harm. If a scene could be misunderstood, pause and clarify in OOC chat.
  • Give gang characters backstories and motivations beyond crime.
  • Settle disputes through roleplay and negotiation first. Violence is the last resort.
  • If roleplay can't settle an issue, bring in an admin or moderator.
G2

Starting a gang fight

  • Start gang fights through in-character communication or scenarios, such as negotiations, rivalries or territory disputes.
  • Both sides need at least two major scenarios or interactions with each other first.
  • The leader or underboss must tell the other side's leader or underboss in character.
  • Both sides must tell the server admins and schedule the fight.
  • Every participant renames their FiveM name with the gang tag first. If your gang is "Toast Potatoes" and you are "Kze", use "TP|Kze". Admins can remove players who don't follow these rules.
  • Up to 10 members per side.
  • Every member wears the gang's colors.

Turf raids during gang fights

  • Turf raids aren't allowed during gang fights.
  • The one exception is a fight that started well outside the turf where the defenders retreated into it. The attackers can follow, but must show clear proof that the defenders took refuge there.
G3

Backup and allies

  • Don't get backup from other factions or individuals outside a planned, organized activity.
  • Someone who comes across a situation with a proper in-character reason can step in, but can't call their own faction for backup. Weigh the risk against the reward.
  • An activity happens mostly in one place and has a specific, achievable goal. Hunting other factions doesn't count, so "rolling labs" is not an activity. A chain of store robberies counts as one robbery.
  • Everyone on a shared radio frequency must be at the same location, plus surrounding areas when the activity needs it, such as scouting. Only the faction involved can respond to an engagement on the way to the activity.
  • Calling or texting people about an active situation that needs backup counts as getting around this rule.
  • Don't put members of different factions in one vehicle so you can draw on both for backup.
  • In a conflict with a rival, you can bring in an allied faction with proper roleplay and staff approval.
  • Backup or not, you can't go over the situation counts.
G4

Territory wars

  • You can't capture a territory that has a business in it.
  • Both gangs must meet and discuss it before declaring war over a territory.
  • Up to 10 members per gang.
  • The war happens in the territory being fought over.
  • The winner keeps the area for 3 days, and nobody can fight for it during that time.
  • If the war lasts more than 60 minutes, SWAT engages.
  • The winner must leave the area within 15 minutes of the war ending, or SWAT engages.
  • Each gang must control at least 5 blocks, or it loses its connection with the cartel.
G5

Crew conflicts

  • Up to 10 players per gang.
  • Keep POV proof of a strong reason for the fight in case staff ask. If the reason isn't serious, the faction leader gets a 7-day ban, even if they didn't take part.
  • If admins ask, the leader must give clear details of all 10 players. Not doing so means a 7-day ban for the leader.
  • Crew fights last up to 3 hours. After that, PD can get involved.
  • Fill in a form before starting a conflict, and wait for Ciantic Management to approve it.
G6

Registering an illegal faction

In-character requirements

  • At least 15 members.
  • At least 3 members with full crafting table access.
  • A combined stock of at least 500 body armors, painkillers and bandages.
  • At least 15 gang vehicles, such as the Sultan RS or similar.
  • At least $10,000,000 in gang funds.

Other requirements

  • Every member on the application has played on Ciantic for at least 30 days.
  • Every member has a clean record on Ciantic.
  • No member has a proven accusation of using mod menus, modified files, macros or similar tools on any Sri Lankan server in the last 30 days.

Crime

Robbery guidelines

Read these before you start or respond to a robbery.

R1

Hostages

  • Every robbery needs a hostage.
  • If police arrive and can't find a hostage, the robbers get 15 minutes to find one. After that, PD can withdraw.
  • No surprise ambush on PD during those 15 minutes.
  • Keep the hostage at gunpoint for the whole robbery. If the hostage isn't under threat, PD can recover them and engage without negotiating.
R2

Escapes and ambushes

  • If you plan to escape without ambushing PD, you can bring 10 players. If you escape, you can't loot police officers.
  • Make a demand to PD before any ambush.
  • If PD suspects an ambush, they can disengage and plan their approach.
  • PD can disengage within 15 minutes of the first demand, even if an officer of any rank is down. PD keeps the plates for a later investigation.
  • If PD has no visual contact and hasn't said it is disengaging, the robbers can come down and start their escape. PD can attack them on the way down. If PD hasn't fired within 1 hour, it has withdrawn and can't launch a surprise attack.
R3

Police helicopter

  • If robbers shoot at the PD chopper, every officer in it can fire back.
  • The chopper can land once for repairs and can't take off again after that.
  • The chopper can move officers between buildings without landing.
  • It can land only on flat ground. Robbers must stay a safe distance from the landing area, following value of life.
R4

Searches and confiscation

  • PD can search robbers on the scene and confiscate illegal items.
  • Officers roleplay taking harmful items without removing them from the player's inventory. Robbers can't use those weapons even though they're still in the inventory.

Penalty Using a confiscated weapon means a 72-hour ban.
